About Us
Innovative Computer Environments,
also known as ICE,
specializes in design and integration services for technical environments such
as command and control, network operations centers, help desk, training rooms,
conference centers and data centers.
Our unique and innovative expertise spans the multi-facetted requirements for
consultation, design specification, procurement, project management and
implementation including: space plan design, acoustics, lighting and human
factor considerations, furnishings, computer-based ergonomic tools, equipment
storage devices and peripherals.
Through our ‘best of class” strategic partnerships, ICE also provides
display, audio, video and control center integration as well as environmental,
fire suppression and power infrastructure integration.
ICE understands the complexity of the IT environment and our “Four Walls In”
multi phase approach indicates our ability to assist with all aspects of the
project. Depending on the complexity of the task, ICE will work as part of the
professional service team that may include an architect, general contractor and
electrical engineer on new construction or a major renovation. If the project is
less involved, such as an upgrade to an existing space, other professional
service disciplines may not be required in which case ICE will work directly
with the Customer.
Our “four walls in” approach includes three major phases:
Phase I: Programming:
-
Preliminary design concepts determined by the
functional requirements of the environment.
-
Recommendation of appropriate furniture designs
and ergonomics specifications.
-
Recommendation of appropriate equipment storage
designs to maximize space.
-
Evaluation of human factors including lighting
and acoustics.
-
Evaluation of display, audio, video and command
control technologies.
-
Review of future technologies for long-range
planning purposes.
-
Preliminary infrastructure design determined by
the mechanical and electrical requirements of the environment.
Phase II: Schematic Design:
-
Site surveys for measurements and infrastructure
analysis.
-
Establish the key criteria for client
expectations, systems concepts and performance.
-
Preparation of design concept sketches
illustrating key plan and elevation details.
-
Preparation of detailed narrative descriptions
and probable cost modeling.
-
Display / Audio / Video functional design and
schematics.
-
Infrastructure functional design and schematics.
-
Meetings with the Team to confirm specific
design, operation and engineering requirements.
-
A detailed report of our recommended approach.
Phase III: Implementation:
-
Project Management
-
Equipment Procurement
-
Site Preparation
-
Equipment receipt, staging
-
Installation
-
Testing and adjustments
-
Acceptance tests and documentation
-
Customer training and final acceptance
